Medical School acceptance rates

About a week ago, the U.S. News & World Report published data on the Medical School acceptance rates (1). In the U.S., the average Medical School acceptance rate for the 2017-2018 school year was 7 percent. This is based on the data submitted by 120 ranked medical schools to the U.S. News & World Report in an annual survey. In 2017, the lowest acceptance rate was at the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota (2.1%), Stanford University School of Medicine in Stanford, California (2.6%), and Florida State University College of Medicine in Tallahassee, Florida (2.8%). The Mayo Clinic School of Medicine is the most selective medical school. Of the 8,068 applicants who applied to the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine, only 168 received an acceptance letter.
