The organizers of the 18th European Symposium on Suicide and Suicidal Behavior (ESSSB 18) have notified that the ESSSB 18 has been postponed.
The ESSSB 18 organizers state that “…due to the global crisis related to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are forced to postpone the congress to a later date. The congress is still more than 5 months away and we are confident the health crisis will be over by then. However, at the present moment, it is unclear when the strict travel limitations that apply worldwide will be lifted.” The ESSSB 18 organizers also state: “… we are carefully monitoring the situation and we will set new dates as soon as it will be possible. It is our intention to hold the congress before the end of 2020.”
The ESSSB 18 was originally scheduled to be held in Rome, Italy, on September 1-4, 2020. Professors Marco Sarchiapone, Patrizia Zeppegno, Maurizio Pompili, and Vladimir Carli are the organizers of the ESSSB 18.
